Project BALANCE: HIV Prevention for Youth in Therapeutic Day Schools

Project Balance, a federally-funded collaborative study with Rhode Island Hospital (L. Brown, PI), is a 3-arm randomized controlled trial that is uniquely tailored for 13 – 18 year olds attending therapeutic day schools. Project Balance is implementing and evaluating an affect management and a skills-based HIV prevention intervention and compares the efficacy of these treatment conditions to a general health promotion control group.
