Evaluating the Role of the Auditory Periphery in Hyperacusis

The study investigates the underlying neuro-physiological mechanisms of hyperacusis, a condition that causes a person to experience discomfort and/or sensitivity to everyday sounds. The study also examines the range of individual differences associated with hyperacusis and the impact that hyperacusis has on a person’s daily life.
