Our program of research is designed to understand and reduce HIV-risk behavior among youth with mental health problems
The Healthy Youths Program seeks to understand, prevent, and reduce HIV/AIDS risk among youths with mental health problems by targeting teenagers’

(1) social relationships (family context, partner relationships, peer influences);

(2) personal characteristics (mental health, achievement motivation, value on health, sensation seeking, AIDS knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, and behavioral skills); and

(3) environmental context (poverty, crime, neighborhood).
