General Prospective Graduate student information:

The Maki Lab is currently seeking more undergraduates to work on two projects in the lab:

Perinatal Mental Health: Undergraduates will have a varied research experience with the opportunity to have direct contact with research participants by conducting surveys on mental health in an OB/GYN clinical setting. The perinatal mental health undergraduate will also learn to work with data in the lab. *Undergraduates with availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays are preferred*

RISE: Undergraduates will have the opportunity to learn data management and analysis skills by helping to enter/score data, and create and manage databases for the research project. Undergraduates will learn how to use SPSS and excel databases, and how to score and enter neurocognitive tests. Undergraduates will also learn how to analyze hot flash, sleep, and salivary cortisol data. This research position will be given preference to freshman and sophomore undergraduates who wish to pursue original research in their future undergraduate career.

UIC Undergraduates have the opportunity to become involved in our research by applying for undergraduate research assistantships

Past students have presented original research, completed Honors Capstone projects, and have received course credit for working in the lab
