Dr. Winer is an internationally known leader in psychoanalytic training, administration, treatment and publication. He has been editor of THE ANNUAL OF PSYCHOANALYSIS since 1991 and served as the Director of the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis from October 1, 1998 until September 30, 2004. He has been Chair of the Committee on Ethics of the International Psycho-analytical Association. He has contributed widely to psychiatric and psychoanalytic journals as well as serving on several editorial boards. He is a past president of the American College of Psychoanalysts.
