Current studies primarily investigate attention and other cognitive processes (e.g., perception of emotion faces) associated with social anxiety disorder and depression.
Dr. Schmid obtained her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Vanderbilt University, performed her clinical internship at the University of Chicago, and completed a post-doctoral clinical research fellowship at the Psychopathology Research Unit and the Center for Cognitive Therapy of the University of Pennsylvania.
