Henry W. Dove, MD, formerly Residency Training Director, Clinical Programs Director, and Associate Head, was named Acting Head of the Department in October 2004. He is a nationally known clinician, educator and mental health care administrator, specializing in the treatment of anxiety, mood and psychiatric disorders due to general medical conditions, and in postgraduate medical education. He has recently began to study and lecture in the area of mental health disparities in minority populations with an emphasis on the African American community. Dr. Dove is an examiner for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a specialist site visitor for the Psychiatry Residency Review Committee of the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education. He attended the University of Cincinnati Medical College and did his residency training in Psychiatry, followed by a fellowship in consultation/liaison psychiatry at Georgetown University Hospitals in Washington, DC.
