Dr. Bishop is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy and Psychiatry at UIC. He is a Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist with interests in psychiatric pharmacogenetics and the pharmacotherapy of persons with mood and psychotic disorders. He is a clinical psychopharmacologist at UIC, co-directs the College of Pharmacy Pharmacogenomics Laboratory, and conducts research investigating genetic predictors of cognition and symptom response and side effects in patients taking antipsychotic medications.
