This is an exciting time for all of us here in Child and Adolescent (C&A) Psychiatry at the University of Illinois at Chicago/ Institute for Juvenile Research, UIC/IJR, and we thank you for your interest in our fellowship training program. A few years ago the University of Chicago C&A psychiatry faculty and resident trainees joined the UIC/IJR C&A training program. The integration has been challenging as well as amazing in its riches! We have modified our didactic program and added both breadth and depth to our clinical opportunities. We believe that we have an excellent training opportunity here at UIC/IJR, and we invite you to review many aspects of our program on this web site.
We hope that you consider our program and apply for a C&A residency position at UIC/IJR. Our interviewing process will begin in October this year. Please know that we are participating in the National Resident Matching Program specialty match for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. We plan to make our match decisions in early to mid-December, since the rank order list must be received no later than December 15, 2010. The actual Match Day will be January 5, 2011.
Please contact us if you have further questions about our program. We look forward to meeting you!
