Dr. Levey has a longstanding interest in the impact of trauma upon children and families in underserved settings. She works in this area as a clinician and researcher. She has studied the impact of culture on resilience in children in diverse settings around the globe. She is currently studying the intergenerational transmission of trauma in a population of pregnant teens in Peru.
