What is the Anxiety Disorders Program?

The Anxiety Disorders Program (ADP) evaluates, treats, and conducts research on panic disorder, phobias, obsessive compulsive behavior, and other problems that involve anxiety. ADP staff is experienced in the assessment and treatment of these disorders. Our goal is to help those receiving treatment at the clinic enjoy more comfortable and productive lives. There are three complementary clinics that comprise the program. The Pediatric OCD and Tic Disorders Clinic provides evaluation and treatment for children and adolescents who have obsessive compulsive Disorder, tic disorders (including Tourette’s disorder), and related conditions. Children and adolescents with other anxiety disorders are evaluated and treated by the Kid’s Team Clinic.

The Stress and Anxiety Disorders Clinic provides evaluation and treatment for older adolescents and adults of all ages who have difficulty managing their symptoms. Each program area is staffed by professionals who have experience and interests specific to the treatment of anxiety disorders. In addition, research conducted at the Anxiety Disorders Program is aimed at contributing to a better understanding of these disorders and to the development of more effective treatments.The staff of the Anxiety Disorders Program also provides educational services. We inform the general public about anxiety disorders. Programs have been developed to meet the needs of the school system and educators. We also provide information and training to health care professionals about the latest advances in knowledge and treatment.
