Purpose: Reduce waiting list, offer quick feedback, streamline clinical and research programs while helping patients who need immediate help.
This is a screening clinic run by Dr. Rachel McMahon and overseen by Dr. Pavuluri. During the clinic, Dr. McMahon sees patients and their families for a quick review and to:
- Determine clinical priorities for the child or teen
- Decide whether they want to participate in research
- Decide if they are eligible for any studies involving Brain Scan
- If not eligible or not interested in research participation, these patients are triaged to the clinic
- Suitability of clinician, clinic and goodness of fit with the child’s central needs and our resources is assessed
