Triage for Assessment and Treatment Clinic (TAT-C)

Purpose: Reduce waiting list, offer quick feedback, streamline clinical and research programs while helping patients who need immediate help.

This is a screening clinic run by Dr. Rachel McMahon and overseen by Dr. Pavuluri. During the clinic, Dr. McMahon sees patients and their families for a quick review and to:

  1. Determine clinical priorities for the child or teen
  2. Decide whether they want to participate in research
  3. Decide if they are eligible for any studies involving Brain Scan
  4. If not eligible or not interested in research participation, these patients are triaged to the clinic
  5. Suitability of clinician, clinic and goodness of fit with the child’s central needs and our resources is assessed
When: Tuesday and Thursday mornings
Slots: 9 am, 10 am and 11 am

Initial Problems that parents relay in their words: Suspected bipolar, moody, excitable, disruptive, inattentive, aggressive or depressed, suicidal
