Turning Trauma and Recovery into Art: Creative Languages of Injury and Resiliency

Venture beyond science to explore traumas through artists presenting original works (poetry, literature, photography), a panel discussion on humanities approaches, and dialogue; featuring leading artists and scholars. Participants include: Dennis Brutus (Exiled South African Poet); Joseph Rodriguez (Photojournalist);  Stevan Weine (Psychiatrist);  Aleksander Hemon (Bosnian Author); Mary Marshall Clark (Columbia University Oral Historian);  Migael Sherer (Author); Reginald Gibbons (Northwestern University Poet).
