Advisory Committee
The Illinois DocAssist Advisory Committee was established to utilize the expertise of primary care providers in the development and implementation of the Illinois DocAssist program. Advisory Committee members offer advice and counsel to the Illinois DocAssist team members and provide access to resources that will positively affect the program’s mission, services, and outcomes. The responsibilities of each Advisory Committee Member are to:
- Maintain general knowledge of the program’s mission, services, and outcomes
- Participate in the ongoing development of the program’s services such as reviewing educational activities and materials and developing clinical guidelines and algorithms
- Assist in efforts to acquire necessary data, articles, brochures, directories and other items for the benefit of the program
- Assist in efforts to identify areas and practices for presentations
- Actively promote the program at organizational meetings, among colleagues, and in the community serving as an advocate of the program
