The DB-DOS Training Center is based within the Program on Developmental Mechanisms of Psychopathology (add link) at the Institute for Juvenile Research (IJR) at the University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. IJR has had a longstanding focus on the etiology, prevention and treatment of disruptive behavior in children and youth with multiple funded research projects in this area. In its Colbeth Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic, IJR has a developmentally oriented Disruptive Behavior Clinic, which serves children from preschool-adolescence. Thus, the DB-DOS Training Center is embedded in a context that has a focus on early identification, prevention and treatment of early emerging disruptive behavior.
The DB-DOS Training Center is funded, in part, by a generous grant from the Children's Brain Research Foundation. The validation of the DB-DOS was also supported by grant MH068455 from the National Institute of Mental Health and the Walden & Jean Young Shaw Foundation.
