Jasmin Vassileva, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor

Dr. Vassileva is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois – Chicago. Her research program focuses on the long-term effects of chronic drug use on neurocognitive functioning. Dr. Vassileva’s more recent studies investigate the neurocognitive mechanisms underlying impulsivity and risky behavior in the externalizing spectrum of adult psychopathology (drug addiction, psychopathy, antisocial personality disorder, adult ADHD) and within the context of HIV. She has been awarded numerous research grants by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and many of her studies involve international collaborations with scientists in Eastern Europe.
