If your child or teenager experiences any number of these symptoms, he or she may suffer from an anxiety disorder. These include Social Phobia, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Separation Anxiety Disorder, School Phobia, Selective Mutism, Trichotillomania, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The Pediatric Stress and Anxiety Disorders Clinic is a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the prevention, identification, and treatment of children and adolescents with anxiety disorders. The PSADC team will perform a thorough psychiatric evaluation for youth and their families, develop a comprehensive treatment plan, and provide treatment using a variety of modalities, including evidence-supported interventions for childhood anxiety disorders such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and medication.
